Past Sins

If I know I’m suffering because of past sins, will God still forgive me?

God’s Response

I assure you that any sin can be forgiven. Mark 3:28

He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. . . . He has not punished us for all our sins, nor does he deal with us as we deserve. Psalm 103:3, 10

If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. 1 John 1:8-9

Forgiveness means that God looks at you as though you had never sinned. When he forgives you, you are blameless before him God doesn’t sweep your sins under the carpet; instead, he completely washes them away. If you have confessed your sin, don’t go through another day under the weight of unnecessary guilt.

God’s Promise

I —yes, I alone —am the one who blots out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again. Isaiah 43:25
