Suffering
Suffering
Does suffering mean that God doesn’t care about me?
God’s Response
He has not ignored the suffering of the needy. He has not turned and walked away. He has listened to their cries for help. Psalm 22:24
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. Psalm 56:8
Suffering is not a sign that God doesn’t care. It is simply a fact of life in this fallen world. God promises to be with you in the midst of whatever you are struggling with. He may not remove the difficulty from you, but he does promise to help you get through it. Your suffering matters to God because you matter to God. God cares so much that not a single tear goes unnoticed.
God’s Promise
Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. Psalm 126:5-6
