Daughters Of God

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”

Isaiah 49:16

When I watch my husband, Nick, interact with our daughters, I am often moved to tears by his tenderness, love, delight, generosity, protection, and provision. Nick is not at all a detached father; he is not aloof, distant, or rigid with our girls. Rather, because he loves them, he is involved in every aspect of their lives.

The most wonderful aspect of Nick’s love for the girls is that it’s unconditional. He does not expect the girls to do anything to earn his affection. He is head-over-heels in love with them for who they are. His devotion to them bursts from his loving heart—and that is exactly how God the Father loves us! It’s such a blessing for me to see in my husband’s love for our daughters a reflection of God’s love for us—His beloved daughters.

He has your name engraved on His hand, and He wants to be part of every aspect of your life. In light of that great love, know that you can enter boldly into God’s throne room of grace, full of joy and expectation. No matter what your earthly father was like, you can dare to open up to receive the head-over-heels love of your heavenly Father today!

God, You are my loving Father. Thank You for loving me unconditionally, for caring about every aspect of my life.
