Just Say Yes

The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

I love the life of faith God has called you and me to live. Yes, it’s a risky life—a life of believing Him, trusting Him, and stepping out in faith. It’s a constant exchange of:

• the known for the unknown,

• the predictable for the unpredictable,

• the comfortable for the uncomfortable,

• the certain for the uncertain, and

• the explainable for the unexplainable.

But it comes with a promise: “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Our life of faith doesn’t have an age limit or a time limit. We don’t have to know how the details will unfold, or when the timing will fall into place. All we have to do is trust that the One who calls us is faithful, and know that as we risk stepping out in faith, He will do it.

So, whatever God has called you to do, whatever next step He’s shown you to take, risk it. Just say, “Yes!” and keep moving forward.

God, the unknown can scare me, but I am so thankful that You are faithful to bring me through. Show me how to take risks for You.
