No Darkness At All
No Darkness At All
God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:5
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12).
He also said, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14–15).
He wasn’t contradicting Himself, but rather showing us the progression of how when His light floods our souls and swallows up all the darkness, then we, too, become the light of the world. His light illuminates our darkness, heals our hearts, and then shines through us to others.
Jesus wants to shine brightly through you.
Wherever you live, you have a realm of influence. You hold a great deal of power and persuasion. At your job, in your family, among your friends. You may be the glue that holds everyone in your world together. And the Enemy knows that if he can shake your confidence and make you second-guess your value, it can have ripple effects on everyone around you.
So, let’s agree to shine brightly together today. Let’s continually allow God’s light to shine through us, in us, and on us to change our world.
Thank You, God, that because You are the light of the world, I can also be the light of the world. I choose to shine brightly today and be a beacon of hope to everyone around me.
