Replace And Renew

Replace And Renew

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Joshua 1:8

Almost four thousand years ago, people started writing down what would become the Bible on sheets of papyrus. It’s incredible to think of the way that holy book has multiplied since then! You can find scores of translations and commentaries. You can purchase workbooks and attend Bible studies. You can download apps and listen to messages. It’s nonstop access.

God is and always has been serious about getting His Word to you. Take time to read it, listen to it, and study it to set your course and stay on track every day. I write Scripture verses on Post-it notes and place them on my bathroom mirror or by the kitchen sink or around my computer.

Knowing who you are in Christ is key to the choices you make each day. And knowing your identity in Christ requires knowing God’s Word, something that happens only when you read it, meditate on it, and study it. Only then can you apply its truth to your life. Ingrained old thought patterns won’t be ousted overnight. But, step-by-step, replacing your thoughts with God’s thoughts will change the course of your life for the better.

Thank You for Your powerful Word of truth. I choose to renew my mind, to replace my thoughts with Yours, so I can honor You with my life.
