Wide-awake

Wide-awake

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Mark 16:15

When Jesus said to go into all the world (Matthew 28:19), He didn’t mean to wait until morning, or until you find a spouse, or have raised the kids, or put your house in order, or find a spare weekend. Christ wants us to go into all the world now—in whatever way we can. He longs to shake us awake so we will shout out the truth—that human beings are made for eternity and what they decide about Jesus determines where they will spend it.

There are people all around us—at work, in our community, at the businesses we frequent—who are crying out for help, and we have the answer.

Let’s renew our commitment today to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the people in our daily path. Let’s show them the love and hope of a life in Christ. We know what it is to be lost and then found, hurting and then healed, so we can be passionate and compassionate witnesses to people still lost and hurting. Not tomorrow or when we have life figured out. But today!

Holy Spirit, show me opportunities to reach the world one soul at a time. Thank You for giving me boldness to share what You’ve given me, wherever I am.
