Unshakable Faith - He Holds My Hand

Unshakable Faith

Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.

Oswald Chambers

Your world has been turned upside-down. Your family’s life will never look like the happy, successful, trouble-free dream that you originally envisioned. Someone’s bad choices have not only negatively impacted his own life, but by default—just because you care so much for him—every aspect of your own future will be different too. This turn of events feels unfair and makes no sense. You find yourself questioning My love for you and wondering if I’m busy elsewhere in the universe, totally unaware of your pain. In your darkest hour, you question your faith. It is real? Does it work? Is it worth it?

Go back to what you know to be true about Me. I am good. I am trustworthy. I have given you My Word as a guide for your decisions. I am faithful. I am available. I love you. Open the Bible and read, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17, NKJV). The more you stay connected to My Word, the more you will realize that genuine faith is confidence in what [you] hope for and assurance about what [you] do not see. Unshakable faith is developed over time as you rehearse My goodness and My consistent presence with you during every step of your journey. Hold on.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:1, NIV
