Gaining Confidence Starts Here - In the Morning When I Rise

Lord, how do I gain more confidence in myself, my faith, and my actions?

Trust in me with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Blessed are those who trust in me and have made me their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

How can I live each day with a confident attitude?

Because of Christ and your faith in him, you can now come boldly and confidently into my presence. Seek my will in all you do, and I will show you which path to take.

What can I pray when troubling times shake my confidence in you?

You are my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. Teach me how to live, O LORD. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Yet I am confident I will see your goodness.

Do you see God as reliable? Do you feel you can count on him no matter what? Confidence in God grows as you step out in faith and find that he is there to catch you. Recount to yourself the times you’ve seen God come through for you. Where has he rescued you, blessed you, protected you, and provided for you? What is his track record in your life? How does this give you confidence in the situations you’re facing today?
