Military Personnel - Prayers for Every Occasion

LORD OF HEAVEN’S ARMIES, you alone are the one true Conqueror, and the authority of all governments comes from you. In the end, it is your will and might that will triumph over the evil we see around us. Yet you have chosen to establish leaders, with their officers and military, to oversee countries throughout the world. You have commanded us to give honor and respect to those in power.

Please bless and protect the officers and enlisted men and women of our military forces, who faithfully serve our country. Some of these dedicated people are my family and friends, Lord. Please give all of them wisdom, righteousness, and honor. May they stand for what is just, fair, and good, even if others may not act or believe that way. Please surround our military people with your strength, and encourage them with your Word and your Spirit. For those who have suffered severe injuries or lost their lives to defend our freedom, we are immensely grateful. Father, please bring hope and healing to the injured, and comfort to the families and friends of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. May all who serve be aware of your presence, and experience your abiding love in special ways. We ask this in the name of our Lord and King, Jesus. Amen.
