Praying Boldly
GRACIOUS GOD, you won my heart when I realized you loved me so much that you sent your Son to die for me. No other love in the world comes close to this kind of love. Over time, I saw you for who you are—a right and holy God, who provided a way for me, sinner that I am, to be reconciled to you through the gift of your Son. With a repentant heart, I come to you with reverence, affection, and faith.
I need your mercy, grace, and help each day, Lord, especially in those times when I’m not quick to see or admit how needy I am. You’ve urged me to draw near to you and to come boldly. May I not be timid or hesitant, but approach you with confidence, assured that you will provide for my needs.
I pray this from my heart.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
