Beyond the Shadows of Doubt

Some people believe, as with weakness, they’re not supposed to reveal their doubts, so they cover them up with a false confidence. The problem is that the beliefs they pretend to display aren’t truly beliefs but an act to gain the approval of others.

Others are frozen by doubt. They think that if they have any doubt about something, it’s doomed to fail. So they never really believe in anything or do anything worth believing in.

The most important kind of faith is the trust you have for another person. If that trust is in God, you can learn to have faith in His faithfulness. So while your world may still be full of doubt, the object of your trust isn’t.

In this way, your doubts don’t have to be a reason not to believe. They can be a reason to believe all the more.
