Good Soil

Good Soil

Even the best vision for growth can be wasted when planted in the wrong soil.

If you plant yourself among those who don’t understand or respect your desire to grow up into a life that matters, you may give up on growing.

If you’re in an environment that’s too superficial to have any roots in what matters, eventually you’ll give up on growing.

If you plant yourself among those who pursue consumerism and meaningless pleasure, you’ll stop growing and just give up.

Your seed must be planted in good soil, with those who are growing as well and are committed to your growth; a place where you can be rooted and grounded in love among those who are pursuing freedom away from the lures of superficial living.

Simply wanting to grow is not enough: good soil is everything.

“The seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.”

Luke 8:15
