The nerd culture is alive and well and living in America. These folks attend sci-fi and comic book conventions. They spend hours online discussing their favorite show or video game. They celebrate all things nerd.

It’s not just that these people share a passion for creative storytelling. It’s that, having never fit in with the world of cool, joining forces with other nerds gives them a sense of belonging.

Followers of Jesus Christ are no different really. We’re people who admit we don’t quite fit in, and we join in community with others who feel the same way. Our leader stood up against the culture of cool so that we could finally belong.

Perhaps you’re one of us. You’ll never be cool in the eyes of the world, but you can belong to the life that matters.
