The God Who Is In Control
The God Who Is in Control
Children have very little power.
They are frail. They need protection. They’re often afraid of the unknown.
When it comes to our troubles, we’re often no different than a child. We like to think we can handle every obstacle, but we just can’t. Understanding this is a path to true, lasting peace.
As much as you’re a helpless child, God is the loving parent you may have never had. When you come inside crying over a scraped knee, He doesn’t lecture you to be more careful. He instead lifts you up on His knee like a tender Father. He wipes away your tears, kisses your forehead, and tells you it’s all going to be okay.
Use the anxiety that suffocates your spirit as an opportunity to climb into the lap of the One who will hold you and keep you safe.
The God who is in control over all that lies beyond your grasp.
I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. —Psalm 131:2
