Willing To Be Ready

Willing to Be Ready

Are you ready yet?

He’s had a quick shower and is waiting by the door. She’s showering, debating over the best outfit, applying makeup, and doing her hair. While his impatience reveals more ignorance than anything, this still illustrates that we have different interpretations of what it means to be ready.

Regardless, it’s important to choose an attitude that is ready and willing. Do you walk into work ready and willing to do whatever is asked of you? If your spouse or child comes to you with a request, do you respond with an attitude that doesn’t make him or her feel guilty for asking?

Like the example above, people sometimes won’t understand what it may take for you to be ready. However, you can still do your part to be ready when the call is made. You have to at least be willing to be ready.

Are you ready yet? The question is more about attitude than anything.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Isaiah 6:8
