Worship In Community

Worship in Community

Some people look down on going to church. They’ll say they can worship God during a nice round of golf on Sunday morning. While God can certainly be worshipped in nature, that’s not the complete picture of what worship is meant to be.

Remember, God created us for relationship with Him, and worship is an important way to do this. But relationship with God is most often interconnected with how we relate to others. In this light, we’re meant to worship in community with others.

Not every church will fit you. Find a church that takes the Bible seriously and where the worship speaks to you. But also look for a church where community and a sense of family are paramount. Church should be about living life together and joining others in pursuing what matters.

You may even find some new golfing buddies there. Just schedule your tee times for Saturday morning.

[N]ot giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another. —Hebrews 10:25
