Find Your Middle Ground
Find Your Middle Ground
To get the complete benefits of quality relationship, you need to engage in community at all levels. It’s good to feel like part of a large community, and most enjoy the company of a few close friends. But there’s a middle ground you shouldn’t neglect—the small group.
Whether it’s a support group, a book club, or a Bible study, you’ll discover the power of community in small groups in ways that you won’t find elsewhere.
Groups of six to twelve people who meet regularly for food, friendship, and mutual enrichment will feel more like an extended family. Most introverts will be able to come out of their shells, and most extroverts will have enough social energy to satisfy. Overall, you’ll have an additional support system beyond your inner circle that will encourage and sustain you.
Make sure it’s a group pursuing what matters. And pray there’s good coffee.
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts. —Acts 2:46
