Long ago the LORD said . . . “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”
God created you, loves you, and longs to have a relationship with you, so he pursues you with persistent and unfailing love. Scripture is filled with imagery of the Lord seeking out his people. Ezekiel 34:11 promises, “I myself will search and find my sheep,” and Luke 19:10 says, “The Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Has he caught your attention yet? Take great comfort in knowing that the God of the universe pursues you with passion.
Bathe Yourself in Love
God is always pursuing you, trying to get your attention. Look for his presence all around you today in ways you hadn’t thought about before, such as through the comfort of a friend, a beautiful sunset, a song on the radio, or a Scripture that comes to mind.
