Paying It Forward

Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

The Lord himself encourages us when we meditate on his Word and spend time with him in prayer. But he’s also pleased when his children encourage each other. When we’ve run aground, our brothers and sisters in Christ can help us regain commitment, courage, and hope. They can help us love and live again. And don’t forget to pay it forward. Romans 12:8 says, “If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging.” Encouragement is a beautiful gift that brings renewal. When you encourage others, you will bring them a divine blessing as well as receive a blessing yourself.
