Pray Continually

I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

God listens carefully to you and answers every prayer. His answer may be yes, no, or wait, just as loving parents might give any of these responses when their child makes a request. If God answered yes every time, he would spoil you and endanger your well-being. Saying no to each request would be vindictive, stingy, and hard on your spirit. Always answering wait would frustrate you. God answers your prayers according to what he knows is best for you. Knowing that God listens and responds can inspire you to pray continually, even when his answer isn’t the one you wanted.
