Beautiful Word Devotional #253

Jesus looked at [his disciples] and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

We do not control the cloud cover, and few of us understand the complex structure of the human heart. We don’t have supernatural strength or knowledge or wisdom. But God possesses all these qualities and more. No wonder things that aren’t possible for us are possible with God.

What situation or relationship that you are struggling with today seems impossible to resolve? What weight is proving too heavy for you to carry alone? Is someone you love needing to be delivered from an addiction? Does your paycheck fail to stretch far enough to cover your bills? These matters may seem huge, even impossible, but they are small to our big, our all-powerful God.

Spend some time today telling him about your cares, frustrations, worries, and burdens. Ask him to please intervene in miraculous ways. Do this with all the faith you can muster. Jesus honors our faith in him even when it is as small as a mustard seed.

Lord, I trust you to do the impossible today, amen.
