Beautiful Word Devotional #266

Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

Esther 4:14

Queen Esther had a unique position in the Persian king’s world: she found herself with the ability and opportunity to save her nation, the people of Israel. In today’s Scripture, Mordecai reminded her of this truth. Though it must have been terrifying to intervene, Esther did—and her actions saved many from destruction.

What position are you in today? We forget that God has an amazing plan for our lives. We may wonder, Why in the world am I here? But the truth is, God is sovereign (he rules over everything), and his plan is perfect.

Right where you live, among the people you know, in your place of employment and ministry—this is where God has you . . . for such a time as this. Only you know these people. Only you have those unique connections. And you are integral to his plan. Like Esther, get involved in the story that God has written and watch him do amazing things.

Lord, help me, like Esther, be open to what you would have me do in my current situation—and then enable me to act, amen.
