Beautiful Word Devotional #82

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalm 107:1

All of us have experienced fickle love. Some people we expected to love us forever ended up betraying us. Others walked away. Far away. Some outright injured us. Some were in our lives for only a season. Some who loved us were amazing blessings, but they passed away, leaving us alone. Heartbreak comes. This is a sad truth.

But here’s a good truth: God’s love endures forever. He will not betray. He will not walk away.

God will not injure us. Instead, he allowed his Son, Jesus, to be injured—to be crucified, to be murdered—for our sin. And God cannot die. He is eternal.

God’s love never, ever falters. It’s not dependent on how good you are either. No, it’s dependent only on his goodness, which is also everlasting.

No matter where you find yourself today in terms of broken relationships, find rest in knowing God’s love for you will last forever.

Lord, thank you for your forever love for me. I needed to hear that today, amen.
