Beautiful Word Devotional #95

To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.

Ephesians 4:7

Isn’t it amazing that Jesus Christ allocates grace for you personally? He who created you chose specific, amazing traits to give to you. He also has a unique plan for your life. In other words, God gives you the expressions of his grace that enable you to best love the people in your life and serve him.

Similarly, God has given specific abilities and traits to others in the body of Christ. They, too, have been given gifts that enable them to uniquely serve the needs of others.

Maybe you feel that because you lack a certain gift—you’re not skilled enough to love or serve. That’s completely untrue! Every one-of-a-kind, created-by-God person is needed in his kingdom. Everyone is important; you are important. Yes, some gifts are used up front and center stage while others are in the background, but both kinds are essential.

Bottom line, you are the only you on this earth. Only you can touch the people in your circle. Rest in knowing Jesus has uniquely equipped you to do just that.

Lord, help me find joy in serving with the unique gifts you’ve given me, amen.
