Hope - Bible Promises for Moms

Hope

“His situation is hopeless.” That’s what the doctors told us after my nephew Bobby had been involved in a horrible traffic accident. “His brain is nonresponsive, and people do not recover from these kinds of injuries.” I’m sure Lazarus’s family thought his situation was hopeless too. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: there is always hope with God. We serve a God of hope. Whether it’s Lazarus’s lifeless body laid in the tomb or my nephew lying comatose in the hospital, no circumstances are too difficult for God. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and God also healed my nephew. If you’re facing a “hopeless situation,” I urge you to begin to read Scripture. God’s Word is a continuous testimony of hope from Genesis to Revelation. Don’t side with the enemy and give up the hope that the Lord wants to give you.

WHEN YOU FEEL WORRIED ABOUT HOW THINGS WILL TURN OUT . . .

Prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.

1 Peter 1:13

WHEN THE OUTCOME YOU’RE FACING IS UNCERTAIN . . .

I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Philippians 1:6

WHEN YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THE SOURCE OF YOUR HOPE . . .

We put our hope in the LORD.

He is our help and our shield.

Psalm 33:20

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13
