God Won’t Turn Away

Breathe Deep and Know: It doesn’t matter how far you’ve run away, how long you’ve been gone, or how lost you’ve become, God promises that He will not turn away if you return to Him. He loves you and He is calling for you to turn to Him today.

Every day we are turning. We are always either turning toward Jesus or turning away from Him. There is really no in between.

In order to follow Christ, we have to turn to Him, to focus on Him. If we let our eyes wander, much like what happens when driving a car, we will start to veer and turn in whatever direction we’re looking.

Set your eyes on Christ today.

And if you lose focus, if your eyes wander and you begin to worry, if you begin to drift or drown or stray away, rest in this glorious hope: you can turn back toward Him again, and He will always be right there, ready to steady you.

Don’t allow your fear or worries to keep you from turning to God. He already knows all your fears, and He loves you. He wants to help you. He wants to hold you. He wants to rescue you. He is calling for you to turn to Him today.

What’s one small step you can take today to turn toward God?

For the LORD your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.
