I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

WHEN I HEAR PEOPLE SHOUT, “I have the victory,” I feel like saying, “Go further. Let the Victor have you. Let God gain victories through you.”

God gains victories through every soul in whom He has gained the victory. There is no such thing as defeat or failure or discouragement in the vocabulary of the sanctified. If you are discouraged, let God search your heart. When the old disposition of sin is gone, God makes us “more than conquerors.”

Entire sanctification is an instantaneous, continuous work of grace, wrought by the mighty atonement of Jesus Christ. It is instant cleansing by the crucifixion of the “old man,” followed by a life of endless growth and victory.

Prayer Thought: My soul longs for more of You, God. I desire to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
