How do I know what God is calling me to do?

The first step in discovering your calling is getting to know God better by reading his Word. As God communicates to you through the Bible, he will show you what he wants you to do and where he wants you to go.

God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom.

Daniel 1:17

God has given every individual special aptitudes and abilities. Your talents and skills provide the biggest clue as to what God wants you to do. When he calls you to do something unique for him, he will almost always allow you to use the gifts he has given you to get the job done. Keep honing your special abilities, and as you use them you will see God’s call for your life. Always serve God and find ways to utilize your primary gifts.

My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus.

Acts 20:24

When God gives you a specific calling, it fills your thoughts and gives you the passion to pursue it wholeheartedly.

Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you.

Romans 12:2

When you let God transform you by the power of his Holy Spirit, he will literally begin to change your thoughts so that you will know what he wants you to do.
