Change

My Question for God

Where can I find the strength to change for the better?

A Moment with God

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:2

Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Ephesians 4:23-24

Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

Colossians 3:10

It takes a long time to complete a great work of art. The project goes through many stages from inspiration to completion. You are God’s work of art in process. Although you may be fervent in a moment of faith, the process of transformation into godliness takes a lifetime. For real and dynamic change to occur, God has to give you a new heart and a new way of thinking. His Spirit will help you to focus on what is true and good and right. Eventually you will begin to see the new you, a person who displays God’s good, holy, and true spirit. While these changes may appear slow to you, God’s work is relentless and certain. Be patient with yourself and trust God to do his work in you at just the right pace.
