How can I be truly good?

A Moment with God

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

Proverbs 31:10-12

The Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17

Goodness is not merely being talented at something, as in “she is a master gardener.” Goodness is a composite of many qualities such as being kind, helpful, loving, pleasant, generous, and gentle. These qualities exhibit your likeness to God and reflect his loving nature. When God takes control of your heart, you will begin doing good deeds that, over a lifetime, will be defined as goodness.

Divine Promise

You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
