My Question for God
How can my heart become the kind of heart God can use?
A Moment with God
When the LORD saw their change of heart, he gave this message to Shemaiah: “Since the people have humbled themselves, I will not completely destroy them and will soon give them some relief.”
2 Chronicles 12:7
Develop an attitude of humility. Only when you are humble can you begin to change into a person God can use.
Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.
Ezekiel 18:31
Get rid of any sinful habit or lifestyle. Practice obeying God’s Word, and you will see your heart change for the better.
Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
Ephesians 4:23-24
You harvest what you plant. Pumpkin seeds produce pumpkins. Sunflower seeds produce sunflowers. That is exactly why you must ask the Lord to plant a pure and obedient spirit within your heart, so that your life will produce clean thoughts, actions, and motives.
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
Luke 12:34
When God is the center of your life, your relationship with him will be your highest priority. You will long to spend time in prayer and reading the Bible. Your thoughts will often turn to God; you will want to please him, and you will want to obey him. The more you love God, the more your heart will long to be closer to his.
Divine Promise
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10
