My Question for God
I can’t do everything all by myself. Where can I find the help I need?
A Moment with God
The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
Genesis 2:18
Whenever they were in trouble and turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought him out, they found him.
2 Chronicles 15:4
The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
Psalm 28:7
This same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
Everyone has limitations—areas of weakness, feelings of inadequacy, a lack of skill or knowledge. Sometimes you just don’t know what to do or how to do it. Sometimes a crisis strikes, and you just can’t handle it by yourself. You need help. Although our culture may admire the strong independent spirit, no one can really survive alone. That’s why God created you to be in relationship with him and with other people. Part of relationship is giving and receiving help. You need help to get work done. You need help to restore a relationship. You need help to develop your skills. You need help to think through a problem. You need help to say, “I’m sorry.” God wants to help you too. He is the ultimate helper, for he is wiser, stronger, and infinitely loving. Not only does your help come from God, but God also promises to help those who help others. Cultivate the habit of seeking the help of both God and others and of offering help to those in need.
Divine Promise
Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.
Psalm 37:5
