My Question for God

Does it please God when we enjoy the things he’s given us?

A Moment with God

I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God.

Ecclesiastes 2:24

Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:4-5

God intends for you to enjoy the good things he created for all people. When you are enjoying God’s blessings, you are accepting his gifts to you, and he is pleased when you use and bask in his special gifts to you.

Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our LORD.”

Nehemiah 8:10

It is good to enjoy occasions of celebrating God’s goodness and love. God is always pleased when you gather with others in thankful celebration and the enjoyment of food, friends, and blessings!

Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.”

John 4:34

The best kind of pleasure is delighting in doing what God wants. This is most pleasing to God, who always wants what is best for you. When you find pleasure in obedience, you are enjoying life as God intended you to enjoy it—to the fullest!

You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
