Pursuit By God

Pursuit by God

My Question for God

The Bible says that God is pursuing me. Why would he do that?

A Moment with God

[God said,] “I thought to myself, ‘I would love to treat you as my own children!’ I wanted nothing more than to give you this beautiful land—the finest possession in the world. I looked forward to your calling me ‘Father,’ and I wanted you never to turn from me.”

Jeremiah 3:19

I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people.

Romans 1:7

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

1 John 3:1

God is looking for a personal relationship with each person he has created. He pursues you not to get something from you but to give something wonderful to you: help, hope, power, salvation, joy, peace, and eternal life. He pursues you because he knows how much these gifts can transform your life forever. God’s love relentlessly calls everyone to turn away from sin and to turn to an eternal relationship with him. While his desire is that no one reject him, he allows each person the freedom to return his love or to reject him and spend eternity apart from him. Will you be captivated by his pursuing, faithful love?
