The word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

What if others knew who you really are? Does this thought frighten you, or would you be okay with that? Is there anyone to whom you can or should reveal your real self: your deepest fears, hurts, sins, or doubts? Every human being has a need for that kind of intimacy, but you must choose carefully to whom you reveal your heart. True vulnerability occurs in only the most intimate relationships because it requires that you reveal the dark things you might have hoped would never come out in the open. You may often resist being vulnerable with God about your sins, especially the ones you don’t want to give up, but vulnerability requires full disclosure, not hiding or covering up. It is only through being vulnerable that you find true healing, restoration, renewal, and forgiveness. When you admit your sin, seek forgiveness, and commit yourself to taking the high road, your relationship with God and others is restored to an even higher position, and a great weight is lifted from you. The more vulnerable you are with God, the more his divine forgiveness frees you from the burdens of your sin and releases you from a life of regret and guilt. You have nothing to fear and nothing to hide because God has changed you.

Divine Promise

There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
