God’s Reality

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on
what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal.

Barbara felt devastated. After being unemployed for eighteen months, her husband had been interviewed several times for a job at a good company. Things looked promising until Human Resources said that they were no longer considering him for the position and were looking elsewhere.

Barb saw a closed door, but she chose to fix her eyes on the unseen instead. She spoke 2 Corinthians 4:18 aloud and prayed, “I trust that you’re working out your perfect will behind the scenes. What I see isn’t the whole truth about our situation. I will keep trusting until I see your will become reality.” Peace flooded her anxious heart. Days later, a company executive called, took her husband out to lunch and offered him the position!

Closed doors and impossibilities are not necessarily the whole truth. God may be doing something unseen and preparing to reveal a different reality. Learn to see life through eyes of faith. Keep trusting until his will becomes reality in your life.
