Make The Most Of Every Opportunity - In the Morning When I Rise
Make The Most Of Every Opportunity
Lord, how does being faithful to your principles create doors of opportunity?
Those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So don’t get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time you will reap a harvest of blessing if you don’t give up. Whenever you have the opportunity, you should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Galatians 6:8-10
Lord Jesus, what opportunities do I have to show my faithfulness to you?
I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me. I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!
Matthew 25:35-36, 40
What can I pray when I want to seize opportunities to be faithful to you?
Help me not to get tired of doing what is good, Lord. When your people are in need, may I be ready to help them. Let me always be eager to practice hospitality. May I be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. May I always be filled with the fruit of my salvation—the righteous character produced in my life by Jesus Christ.
Galatians 6:9; Romans 12:13, 15; Philippians 1:11
