Lord, what is my responsibility to my community?

Work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you. Pray for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.

Jeremiah 29:7

What can I do for my community?

Pray for all people. Ask me to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for all who are in authority so that you can live a peaceful and quiet life marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases me, for I want everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

What can I pray to intercede for my neighbors?

I have not stopped thanking you for them. I pray for them constantly, asking you, the glorious Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, to give them spiritual wisdom and insight so that they might grow in their knowledge of you. I pray that their hearts will be flooded with light so that they can understand the confident hope you have given to those you called—your holy people who are your rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that they will understand the incredible greatness of your power for those who believe you.
