Don’t Give Up!
Don’t Give Up!
Most everyone will give you permission to give up on your ideals. They’ll say, “You deserve a break—you need to find fulfillment!” and so on. Yet we have just this one life to live a story that will show His excellence, His greatness, His love and mercy, His redemption and grace.
So many young women are listening to feminist voices, to popular culture, to contemporary thought. They do not know that certain choices, especially made after seeking the counsel of the wrong voices, will have great consequences in their lives. They unwittingly think that personal fulfillment comes from material things that will make them comfortable; work that will give them a sense of their own importance; experiences that will give them a surge of adventure and excitement; romance that will make them feel loved—but they do not really know or understand that in the long haul, no one and no thing can make them happy or fulfilled apart from the love and grace and forgiveness of God. So many decisions made for short-term gain have devastating consequences and leave ugly scars in the long run.
We must seek wisdom where it is to truly be found—within God’s Word.
No one loves you or has more grace for you than God! He is a God of love, second chances, forgiveness. All He wants is our hearts. He wants to inform our decisions, our ways, our attitudes, our convictions, and our values, and He is waiting to talk to you . . . today!
His Promises
Tune your ears to wisdom
and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight
and ask for understanding.
Search for them as you would for silver;
seek them like hidden treasures.
Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD,
and you will gain knowledge of God.
For the LORD grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
He guards the paths of the just
and protects those who are faithful to him.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path.
