Time To Refuel

Time to Refuel

Being a mama is a long-term commitment. When you find yourself depleted, try to stop and take stock of what is going on in your life. Place your worries and anxieties in heaven. Simplify your schedule, plan a snack-style dinner of crackers and cheese or fruit and toast, and break out the paper plates. Planning other simple pleasures—making time for several cups of coffee or tea, having a nap, watching a show, or reading a magazine—helps too.

Refueling just a little, finding joy, creating pleasure, and celebrating life in the midst of all the demands, helps fill your heart up just enough to begin seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Slowly but surely, you will begin to see the miracles bubbling up. Our Father delights in providing for us when we take time to breathe, listen, and rest from the daily grind.

Take a day off from regular commitments and plan to be still. A woman with a Martha heart, frenetically busy, won’t see the miracles of God, as she is so busy living in the whirlwind of her own making and subsisting in her own meek provisions that she loses all hope and becomes a wretched nag. Sitting at the feet of Jesus instead, and just having some respite, will do wonders to change the day.

His Promises

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:2

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:19

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:6-7
