Magnificent Prayer #149
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV

Pray About It: Often in our childlike anxiety we’ve gone ahead of God, almost looking back saying, “Hurry up, God, or we’ll never get there.” Other times, God may see us lagging behind, calling out to us, “Hurry up, My child, or we’ll never get there.”
God’s time is perfect. In praying we can learn to discern His seasons in our life. We’ll know that now isn’t a good time to change jobs or to buy a new house. Or we may sense that God is opening up doors that have long been closed to us. This developing sensitivity to God’s perfect timing is one of the benefits of prayer. We must learn to do all things in His time.
Those things which seem most contrary the one to the other will, in the resolution of affairs, each take their turn and come into play. The day will give place to the night and the night again to the day. Is it summer? It will be winter. Is it winter? Stay a while, and it will be summer. Every purpose under heaven has its time. The clearest sky will be clouded, joy will succeed sorrow. The cloudiest sky will soon clear up.
