Magnificent Prayer #148

Magnificent Prayer #148

Pray without ceasing.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV

The word “pray” does not mean to beg or to plead as if God were unwilling to give—but simply to expose by faith every situation as it arises, to the all-sufficiency of the One who indwells you by His life.

Can any situation possibly arise, in any circumstances, for which He is not adequate? Any pressure, promise, problem, responsibility or temptation for which the Lord Jesus Himself is not adequate? If He be truly God, there cannot be a single one!

MAJOR IAN THOMAS

Pray About It: We can pray without ceasing by giving to God every situation as it arises and letting Him be God. By living united to God, in our affections and thoughts, our life will become to God like one very long prayer.

There is nothing today that will escape God’s notice. No problem too big or small. Offer all your requests to Him. He is the All-Sufficient One.

Pray without ceasing; not in mere words, but in so living united to God, in your affections and thoughts, that your life shall be one long and continued prayer.
