Magnificent Prayer #168

Magnificent Prayer #168

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.

Psalm 149:6 KJV

Praising God is one of the highest and purest acts of religion. In prayer we act like men. In praise we act like angels.

THOMAS WATSON

Pray About It: At this moment, God is surrounded by the angels who praise Him day and night, without end. And He is deserving of it all. Today, let’s set aside our petitions, the petitions of mere men, and take on the role of the angels.

Offer the sacrifice of praise to our God. And if there’s time left, then pray.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, Heaven and earth are full of thy glory: Glory be to thee, O Lord Most High.
