Magnificent Prayer #211
Magnificent Prayer #211
And he arose.
Mark 4:39 KJV
Our Saviour hears the prayers of His children. The roar of the storm He did not hear in His sound sleep; but the moment there was a cry from His disciples for help He instantly awoke. What a revelation of heart have we here! He is never asleep to His people when they call upon Him. Amid the wildest tumults of this world He ever hears the faintest cry of prayer. Nor is He ever too weary to listen to His children in distress.

Pray About It: Through the constant din, God hears that faint prayer. He awakes, not from the clamor of the storm, but from the words of fear in His children. He then rebukes the storm.
Praise God. He is awake to our cries. Always listening. Today He will hear your cry.
[God’s] honor is at stake when we pray—and he will not be mocked for not answering! The Bible says of him: “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved…he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:3–4). Our God is awake at all times. And he is attentive to our every need.
