It has often been said that prayer is the greatest force in the universe. This is no exaggeration. It will bear constant repetition. In this atomic age when forces are being released that stagger the thought and imagination of man, it is well to remember that prayer transcends all other forces.

Pray About It: If one concept has been repeated more than any other during the past year, it’s that prayer works. Prayer is a force against which no other force can prevail. And as Huegel says, “It will bear constant repetition.” We are so prone to forget. For that reason, several themes regarding prayer have been repeated during this past year—we need to be reminded about them again and again, or else we forget to apply them.
Today, ask God to keep reminding you about prayer in the months ahead. Now’s no time to stop learning.
The only power that God will yield to is that of prayer.
