Magnificent Prayer #67

Magnificent Prayer #67

In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever. Selah

Psalm 44:8

When the Spirit has come to reside in someone, that person cannot stop praying; for the Spirit in him prays without ceasing. No matter if he is asleep or awake, prayer is going on in his heart all the time. He may be eating or drinking, he may be resting or working; no matter, the incense of prayer will ascend spontaneously from his heart. The slightest stirring of his heart is like a voice which sings in silence and in secret to the Invisible.

ISAAC THE SYRIAN

Pray About It: Prayer is as natural to a Christian as breathing to a living body. We must pray if we are Christians. The Spirit within us compels us to pray and we obey. Our prayers aren’t always spoken, but they are nonetheless prayers.

To be a Christian is to be a pray-er.

Prayer is like breathing. Stop breathing and you die. Stop praying and your Christian experience will soon fade away.
