2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness. . . . And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Don’t we all want to be able to say these words when we reach the end of our lives? I have fought the good fight, finished the race well, and remained faithful through it all. If this is the way we want to conclude our stories, then we must begin living this way now. Are you spreading the Good News to a broken world? Are you living with your eye on eternity? Are you faithful in both the big and small things? If so, this passage promises the best prize at the end of your race—the crown of righteousness.
