I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!

This psalm was written for those on a pilgrimage to worship the Lord in Jerusalem. Whether you are looking to the hills of Jerusalem or simply to the hills ahead, ask yourself, Where does my help come from? Perhaps you have a long journey before you.
