John 6:35

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

Bread is a staple of life that satisfies our hunger and fills us up. By calling himself “the bread of life,” Jesus is communicating his desire to give us spiritual satisfaction. Each of us has that deep longing to feel like our lives are full. Here Jesus is saying that only he can truly meet such a need—both now and for eternity. Are you currently experiencing spiritual hunger pangs? Do you long for authentic joy? Take Jesus’ words to heart. Work to know him more and watch him fill your soul like nothing else can.
